Before you begin knitting: The cardigan is worked flat on circular needles from the top down. The design features a wide, straight neckline, continuously constructed buttonholes, buttons along the front, and short sleeves. The sleeves are shaped using short rows. First, the back piece is knitted, then the front pieces, after which the shoulders are sewn together by hand. The body is then worked, and finally the sleeves. Buttons are attached and ends are woven in.
